Welcome
Hello, I am Denise Kuyper. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with an M.S. in 2003. I have practiced as a marriage and family therapist in Seattle and Bellevue and Issaquah, Washington and Ohio. I am a Certified Lifespan Integration therapist.
I love my profession. Along with my training and experience I have a passion to assist in a person’s growth toward living a fuller life—growth in Self and in Relationships. I am a real person who has a big heart and a desire to see individuals and families work through whatever obstacles are holding them back from living out their values. Not only that, I have researched and experimented with pathways that lead a person to positive change, as well as studying what makes those new pathways hold. Offering Lifespan Integration therapy is one of the most powerful tools for aiding long lasting coherent change of solid self.
The adults that I collaborate with are determined to work on the one or two areas that are not working in their lives. I partner with them in building more satisfying personal lives, relationships, and careers. I see individuals who have tried everything and have made the courageous decision to admit they need some help.
Nothing is more frustrating than trying really hard and still feeling like the particular problem is not getting better. I help clients learn new approaches, so they don't simply try hard, but actually see progress. Most clients report they wish they had started the process sooner!
I have a family and have been married for 25 years with three children, a dog and a cat. When not with my family or clients, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, spending time with friends, volunteering and church involvement.
